Tomb Raider franchise, taking the story back to the beginning of Lara Croft's journey and showing her rise to become "Tomb Raider". A sacred artifact created by the ancient Mayan Civilization in Mexico hundreds of years ago, believed to hold the secrets behind the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012. With the family butler, Winston, educating her about everything he has learned from her Father about the Ascension Stone, Lara heads off to follow her first lead buried in an ancient mine deep in the heart of England. Once down there she discovers more than she had ever hoped for and soon realizes her Uncle has answers to questions she has been asking for a long time. Written by Anonymous

Ok. Here is where I split a few hairs in the forum. 1st off. "Written by Anonymous" is flat out bullshit... I personally sent these wingnuts at IMDB every scrap of data I could find in 4 hours of online searching. all i got from them was some bullshit about needing one thing or another more. I told them to get off their lazy asses and look it up. I sent them what I found. (which was a hell of a lot more than they had listed) Evil or Very Mad

Anyway.... The movie site is http://www.reynoldsfilms.com/tomb-raider-ascension/ (G.. I wonder who wrote the damn film?) or at least directed it.
Site has a you tube video promo on it. You can also youtube several other clips and such.

At 1st I thought this was some kinda of series start up. After watching it I really wanted to see the 2nd, 3rd and so on when they came out. To my surprise It was a solo movie. (Thought I wouldn't mind a sequel.) Made on a pretty low budget of 10,000 lbs. I found it to be a quite good movie. (Mega piranha could take a lot of lessons here.)

Effects: Good considering.
Story: Very good. Could use a bit more meat maybe but still good. (Needs a sequel) bounce
Acting: Pretty good as a whole. (As i understand it they were friends and a few local actors that got together and made it.)

Worth a watch. US people will probably have to get it online like I did. Never saw it in DVD format Smile Like a Star @ heaven
