Once a year, the "List of Words Banished" from the language is published by a Michigan college. This time the list also contains "refudiate", the term coined by Alaska´s ex-governor Sarah Palin.
This has been the 36th time the list was compiled. The university reports that a lot of people wrote to nominate "refudiate". The college received a total of over 1,000 online submissions.
Other submissions, which were not used, are "Google" and "Facebook" used as verbs. Also on the list appear the words "viral", "epic" and "fail", which are all online terms.
